GIVINGTUESDAY

SUPPORT THE NICHOLSON CHURCH LANE COMMUNITY GARDEN ON GIVINGTUESDAY

The Nicholson Church Lane Garden was founded in 1978 by Chris and Helen Nicholson who came together with their Germantown neighbors to transform a vacant lot into a shared green space for growing bountiful vegetables, flowers, and community. NGT preserved this .32-acre garden in 1991, and it has served and nourished East Germantown for almost 50 years.

Today, the Garden needs major upgrades to enable longtime gardeners to continue to maintain and cultivate the space, and to expand community involvement and partnerships. NGT and the Nicholson Church Lane gardeners will address safety and accessibility concerns, build new gathering areas, and ensure the garden will thrive for generations to come.

This GivingTuesday, you can help restore and reactivate the Nicholson Church Lane Community Garden. On Tuesday, December 3, please help us reach the goal of raising $20,000 towards the cost of renovations. You also can make a gift now to be counted on GivingTuesday. All donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar through the commitment of a generous donor.
